Thursday

coach permission film.
i've recently written to the public relations department at National Express who own the bus the band filmed on to ask for permission to show the footage.
They have asked for a copy of the footage that was taken on-board so i have created a short compilation of the footage from the coach to show them.

This has made me realise the importance of having permission prior to filming, however, the company did ask for a copy of the footage, which makes me think that they'd still want it if i'd asked before.

London Shoot

I took a Camera to london after completing the neccessary risk assessments and call sheets 19/10/07
The footage was good, however a technical error with the camera resulted in losing a possible day of footage. Therefore, fill shots that i wanted of london scenery were unavailable. But the footage i did get was good.
  • Good shots of interviews with the band as people, drunk, laughing, having a good time
  • good framing of minimal fill shots
  • good content
  • not enough fill shots to make the setting obvious.

the last bullet point is disappointing for the product as the fact that we were in london is not made obvious. However, many pictures were taken and they could be incorporated into the film to create montages, which would fit the rock n' roll, low budget style that can look like this with effects editing, such as a fuzzy screen gradually becoming a picture. These could appear between scenes in the london section.
